FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Right now, yes, completely. During early access every feature is free, with no subscriptions and no ads. Later, a small Premium tier (€3.99/month) and a Tourist Pass will fund the running costs, but the core safety features (danger zones, safe routing, community reports) stay free permanently. We'd rather charge a fair price later than sell your data ever.

There's nothing to cancel yet, early access is free with no subscription. Once Premium launches it will be a normal App Store subscription you can cancel anytime, keeping access until the end of the billing period.

No. We never have, and we never will. Route requests are handled by our map provider without being linked to any account or identity, and incident reports are anonymous. If this ever changed, we would tell you clearly and give you a way out.

Nothing. There's no account to delete because we don't require one. Your route history and favourites are stored only on your device. Community reports (incidents and potholes) are shared anonymously with other drivers, they're never linked to you, and you can delete your own reports from inside the app.

No. Clearpath is independent. We use publicly available SAPS statistics and verified community reports, but we are not affiliated with the South African Police Service or the City of Cape Town.

During early access you don't need anything, the full app is free. Later, the Tourist Pass (€7.99 for 14 days, no auto-renewal) will cover a typical trip.

Launching first on iPhone. Android follows after iOS.
